Stop uploading !Completely! ?

first off , limewire rules , very fast nstuff , but
my internet provider has down- and upload limits ,
making it not verry easy for me to use limewire , seeng how lime wire uploads all the time even though i've switched every upload option off ,
i can still see my upload going beserk on my internet manager when limewire is running

i understand that the limewire community needs people who upload
but if i go over my limit , they but me on smallband (comparable to 56k modem or slower)
i hope you understand and maybe help me by telling me how to switch the upload off completely ?

thanks:)

Temporarily turn off partial file sharing when downloading very popular files. However, this will slow and reduce many downlownloads too.

Better yet, figure out your upstream bandwidth ( http://www.broadbandreports.com/stest ) and set your connection speed to "modem" in the LW prefs (tools->options->speed). Then you can set the upstream bandwidth in LW to something that will keep you below the radar of your ISP's limit AND still allow you to share.

The rule of thumb I use is to make sure my upload total is always greater than the download total (tools->statistics->bandwidth). Being an Ultrapeer also helps if you can't share.
