First of all let's all calm down (and by "all" I mean you and me).
Please understand that I didn't tell you to click Incompletes while forgetting that it will restart your PC. This is why I am saying that there may be something wrong with your PC: clicking anything on LW (and I mean anything) should not prompt your PC to restart. I therefore told you to click that knowing that it normally should have brought up the contents of your Incompletes folder, which are previously killed downloads. I had no reason to hide anything from you and never, for one second, meant to bust your PC. You wanted some help and I posted a suggestion that should have worked, normally. If I knew that this would happen if you clicked it, then I wouldn't have told you to do so now, would I?

It didn't restart the PC, just Limewire, but I don't see how this behavior could be specific to my setup.

Ah, ok, but still: LW does not have a restart command anywhere, thus, clicking anything under the Library Tab should not initiate restarts of any kind. Are you sure you have the latest Java? You might also want to try running the usual scan applications (Defrag and stuff...)

Check www.java.com.
I think the latest is 1.5.

Says Sun Java 1.4.2. There's a 1.5 beta development kit there, but no 1.5 runtime environment. (strange. how do you test stuff you make with the dev. kit then?)
