I search, but never get results. Can you help?

Since I installed the new Beta, whenever I do a search for a file on the left, I never get any results in the right pane. What is happening? What do I need to do to get my search results back?

nevermnd, figured out it was my "search" preferences. had gotten set to zero, I reset it to a real number
