As I said before, if you want a player that will play most files out there, dld and install VLC player, found at www.videolan.org . If you find files that it doesn't support then you'll have to look for specific codecs for these files (your best bet being google: type in a search with keywords "playing -insertfileformathere-")

Getting there HI I have downloaded the VLC file from http://www.videolan.org/ and it loads up. But I don't have a clue what to do with it. When I downloaded the film ********* I stored it. If I open up the folder there is 4 folders called CD1, CD2, Sample and ********* Should I start with something easyier or can you guide me through this. It looks as if the film is cut in two parts: you may have to put it on CD (by creating a Video CD not a data one). What size is each CD folder? Have you looked into them? Are there any .mpeg, .avi, ... etc files in there?

Getting there HI In the folder **********, I have CD1, CD2, Sample and *********. CD1 contains 43 files total 543MB. CD2 contains 50 files containing 590MB. Sample contains 1 file at 9.95MB and ******* contains 9kb of something. If I explore CD1 and CD2 they contain files ranging from *******.r00 upto ******.r39. There is no mpeg or AVI files like that. I am beginning to think thins this is just to difficult for me. Is there an easy way of downloading a film and watching it. Should i try something easy. If you know of an easy film to down load to get me going i'll be happy. Last edited by Sleepless; April 11th, 2009 at 09:47 PM. |

If you want to dld a movie that is (almost) sure to play then dld a file with .avi extenson or .mpeg. Full movie .avis are at about 700Megs. I'd recommend to keep the one you dlded just now so that you may find a way to play it later.
