Lord of the Rings | February 9th, 2006 11:42 PM | I still haven't done that test. Must have been preoccupied & forgotten. I now spend most time in OSX. Yes I keep both OSX & OS 9 on separate partitions (many people have them on the same drive.) It allows me to keep each partition I have organised for their purpose & OS 9 defragmented for OS 9 technique & OSX defragged for OSX technique, though defragging for OSX is not important due to it's different functioning. But potentially keeping each problem should one arise to their specific area helps greatly with fault finding. At least I'll know if the problem is OSX or OS9 or program specific, etc. I have a separate partition for programs for both 0S 9, & Carbon. And in more recent times, native OSX (cocoa) since they've lately being allowing you to install them on alternative drives. That frees up space for my OSX partition. (I also have different partitions or drive for work areas & static documents.) If you're still around & want me to check those details then ask. |
