Unhappy Download limit?

Ok.. I've read all I can find on download problems and don't see exactly what my problem is. When downloading any movie files, every file gets to 20500 kb and quits. It just sits there with the lovely messages of awating more sources, connecting (and not doing so), or waiting for busy hosts. I don't understand why every single file would stop at the same amount of kbs. Is there a limit that is on here or what? Thanks for any info.

There is no such limit from limewire's side.

So does anyone know why everything stops at after downloading the same amount no matter who it is from or what source I try?

DewMeKool,

Are you downloading through a school or company server? They may limit the size that can be downloaded in a single file.

No.. I am doing this from home on a cable connection. I don't seem to have any problems downloading songs, just the movies. Seems kinda strange to me.

DewMeKool

But the songs are much shorter then the movies. I think the key is the length of the file. Perhaps your cable provider has a limit. I would check with them.

It is highly unlikely that a provider has a file size limit. I would even say it is impossible for him to limit that for LimeWire.

trap_jaw4,

I agree but I can't figure out why they would always stop at the same place. Really strange.

Very interesting. I have gone thru all that myself and have a lot more to share. It doesn't matter if it is one single file at a time or multiple files. They all stop at the same amount. But like I said, songs are no problem so far. Finally got my movie going thru Kazaa tho, as much as I hate thier rating game. Hopefully someone will figure this out sometime. Thanks for the info too.
