If you can't wait, then close all apps (maybe even shut down your computer). Restart then delete. Should work.

I downloaded a movie from Limewire. I can't delete it. I keep being told it's being used - even after I restart.

I have moved it to another folder unrelated to Limewire but STILL CAN'T DELETE IT!!

And when I select it to try to delete it, my CPU usage goes up to 100%!!

I want to get this cr*p off my PC but don't know how!!

HELP!!

Quit everything, and I mean everything : all applications and also disconnect from the net, but don't restart or turn off the PC/Mac (whatever you may have). Now scan the file with an anti-virus application. If nothing is found, then quit the application and try deleting it now, with everything closed. Should work.

It certainly helps to be able to have more than one OS, on mac/pc from what I've found & been told. But not everybody would recommend it. (I have 3 Mac OS's on separate partitions [or 4 incl. Vpc]- a bit ridiculous!) On the mac it has solved similar issues & others!

you might also want to use something like norton to wipe the files if you use that normal files go away
