Please help me! I am having a problem with Limewire. I got it about a month ago and have been downloading almost all audio on it. Recently I moved the folder that I save music on (shared) from WINDOWS to My music. So it has tried to download about 8 songs to a file that is invalid. It said Could not be moved to library. I figured out what was going on and went to options and chose the correct location of the shared folder. But I still can't get the files that say could not be moved to library to go into the library. Please Help! -I can download new songs and they work.- -I have a cable modem- |
I just restarted my computer (Windows 2000) and re-opened Limewire and now the audio files that couldnt go into the library are in the incomplete part of the library. But they are complete. I looked in the incomplete folder and is all there is a text file (called downloads) and a program I can not open (File Type BAK, called downloads.) How do I get those songs with all of my others, I am confused please help! |
Not being a 'Windows' person, 'if' the files refuse to open with your usual audio players (have you tried?), then you may need to re-download them (go to your incomplete folder in your Library window & choose 'Resume'.) If they do open with the above, then move them to where you want. Downloads.BAK & downloads.dat are LW files that should not be tampered with! If your files are not in your Incomplete folder then they'll be in your dwnld's folder. It can be a bit hairy changing dwnld locations whilst files are still dwnlding & 'might' cause LW some confusion. |
Thanks a bunch!!! Lord of the Rings what you said worked! Thank you so much for the support. Thanks. |
