Different hard drive for sharing - HELP!
 

hello all:

i have several hard drives in my mac (OS panther) and want to use a different hard drive to store the upload folder so that i can store more files for sharing.

this doesn't seem possible as limewire does not appear to see any other hard drive than the one its on.

any suggestions? lots of fun files for you if you can solve this.

First, make sure that the HD(s) is/are being recognized by OSX. When you're sure, go to Limewire's Preferences and click Saving and add the folders that you want to share from the HD(s).

You may, of course, have already tried this so this post may be worth zilch.

I have 2 HDD's & multiple partitions within Panther & I've no problems sharing from any of them. Within Sharing in LW's Prefs, choose Add as murasame said. You 'should' see the various volumes available. Select & press 'Apply', go to LW's Library window & the folders/volumes you selected in prefs should've appeared (press the Refresh button.) It can take a few minutes for all the indiv files to all become accounted for within LW.

Thanks for the input all. i had tried to do this by by going through the menu but i couldn't seem to access the hard drives. going thru preferences worked though.
