Please help! im desparing with the slooooooow downloads!
 

Hey all i have jus recently gone onto limewire pro and its even worse then the orig LW! My downlad speeds are always around 1kb - 3kb or nothihg at all!
I have looked through other threads on here and have tried all suggestions but its still not making mine any faster!
I have broadband 600kbps modem any suggestions please??

yeah i did that and it went faster for a while now its gone back to how it was

What are you dlding, or, to be more accurate:
-how many hosts do the files that you try to dld have?
-what quality do the files that you try to dld have?

im downloading movies they have 40 - 100 hosts each one has 400 and they r 4 stars i didnt know if it was because they are recent movies and alot of people might be wanting them at the same time??

Yes, it can be that. It can also be that, because video files have more complicated data that audio, they don't transfer as fast.
Also, you must have patience: Limewire may not directly connect to the host that has the most bandwidth available. Even if it says "downloading from 4 hosts", it might take a while before it actually connects to all of them. When it does, the speed should pick up.

nice one im glad its not me doing summing wrong! lol! I tried a few audio files and they are alot quicker so im jus gonna have to be patient wiv videos ha ha! cheers!
