I'm new to LimeWire I have WinXP and a cable connection (road runner), I use McAfee to protect my computer (firewall/antivirus) and I connect to IE and other things perfectly fine. For some reason I've noticed people aren't downloading from me very well (so my upload isn't working) and I'm wondering if there is a way to fix this. All my songs have 0/0 upload or 0/1 or something and I'm guessing that's because they fail when people are trying to get them. I am sharing my music from C:/My Shared Folder which is default for Kazaa because I have that as well . . . but kazaa isn't on at all because I use limewire over it . . . and the upload speeds are like 5 kbps which is pretty sad cuz when I do a speedtest it's at 400

Have you added the "C:/My Shared Folder" to the folders Limewire shares? Go to - TOOLS, OPTIONS, SHARING and make sure the folders you want to share are listed there.

As far as upload speed if your client has a slow connection that will determine the maximum speed of the upload. If someone is using a modem their download from you is limited by their capability.
