Incomplete downloads die when parent directory is renamed? So I'm halfway through a couple of hefty downloads and I change the name of the drive they are being downloaded to (while limewire is closed). I load limewire and it says it can't find the download directory, so I point it at the same old directory on the newly named drive. Problem is that now my incomplete files have started the download process from scratch, even if I go into incomplete files and resume (where they are listed as being halfway downloaded, by size). Am I totally screwed here? Also, I (the dumbass) did delete the old sharing pointer containing the previous name of the drive, so I can't just change the drive name back. any suggestions? Cheers, G.B.Chew |
in case it matters... Machine: Sawooth G4 / 400Mhz / 448MB System: Mac OS X 10.2.8 Limewire Version: 4.0.5 Connection: Wireless to Cable, etc... Firewalled: Yes |
My only suggestion for the moment would be to read the rules. When you do, you'll find out that starting multiple threads about the same issue is more than completely unnecessary. So go and delete the other thread. |
... Right you are. Did I mention that I was a dumbass? :) |
I guess this makes two of us, hah! :p |
