Sounds like you're definitely using pc Windows. My bet is these particular files are music/video. And chances are they are Windows Media files or m4a files. I bet it's WMP attempting to open them but you lack the right type of codecs & you receive permission error messages. Since you haven't told us much, such as whether it's audio/video I can't really help much except to try to get some xtra codecs. Get GSpot.. it's free, just open the file in GSpot & it will tell you what you need to play a certain file: http://www.headbands.com/gspot/ That's the problem with WMP & WMP files, they can be copyrighted & may force you to get xtra codecs. Do a search on the forum for codecs & you'll find places to get them. If it's a video file, you can try an alternative player such as VLC: http://www.videolan.org/ if it's an audio file you can also try an alternative player such as http://www.quinnware.com/ & do a search on this forum for free mp3 players. If it's an m4a file try Winamp 5.02. Hope this helps.
I forgot to mention it's best not to try & launch non Audio/Video files using LW.

Ahh no, you're completely on the wrong track. GSpot is for audio/video files - it'll will tell you what you need to play those types of files. exe files are programs & LW is not designed to launch programs that are not AV. LW also cannot launch apps that are only partially dwnlded. So if it's a game, why not just open it outside of LW. If it's still dwnlding, then you'll need to wait for it to complete. Sorry for the misunderstanding there.

All your dwnlds will end up in one folder. To find it, go to LW's menu Tools-Options & Saving. This will tell you the name & directory path of your dwnld folder. Make a note of it. If you're not sure how to locate it, use Explorer & type in the name of the folder. After you locate it, make a reference to it (Shortcut) & put it somewhere easy & quick to find such as in Exporer.

To launch a file via LW, it will need to be situated in one of your shared folders (do you share your dwnld folder?) which can be found in the LW Lib window. Or in the incomplete folder. Other than that, LW's media player or launcher can be used to check AV files whilst they're dwnlding (must be at least 1% dwnlded already) to verify that's the file you want or just to get a preliminary listen. But to reiterate, the games & exe files are not for LW to launch. Hope this helps.
