In these situations, b/c there's such a demand for that upld position, everybody is in a waiting line & gets a shared amount of time to dwnld from that source. It's a 'pain' I know! The best advice I can think of is to search for more sources. This may help it to connect to another source. Or even have 2 consecutive dwnlds of the same file (sometimes files are not always grouped). Depending on your connection, if you're doing several dwnlds simultaneously, you might want to cut back a bit to give the troublesome one a bit more bandwidth when it does actually reach no.1 in the queue (particularly for dialup connection.) Depends how patient you are I suppose. I'm sure some times of the day or days of the week, the busyness of the source won't be so bad. That's what I've found. Also as a side note: Some apps like Shaeaza actually bump others further down the queu. (A horrible app.) I hope it's warmer where you are than I am in the garden state. Only occasional spots of sun inbetween the rain! |
