![]() 1. I get a search result for a file (owner obviously online) but when I attempt a download I either need more sources or am awaiting more sources. This doesn't make sense unless, of course, owners go offline in the few seconds it takes this result to appear. This I doubt because it happens to about 50 per cent of my attempted downloads. 2. I start a download but am put in a line. Position number is, for example 10, but after half an hour it is 20. This doesn't make sense. In WinMX, for example, downloaders move UP the line (as opposed to DOWN)! What gives? 3. Why doesn't force resume work for awaiting sources results? More importantly, why can't I use find more sources for this result? This doesn't make sense, as this feature is common to WinMX and Kazaa. 4. Why can't I search for alternates? Given the weird and wonderful ways people name their files, the absence of this feature doesn't make sense. |

![]() The best way to find more sources is to search for them. If a file doesn't resume after a search & the search rersults shows sources, delete it from the dwnld pane (below the search window) & reselect it from the search list to begin dwnlding again. Try this several times. If no success. Start the procedure over again with another search. Force Resume is wonderful 'if' it can find enough resources to connect to. If you're in a busy list, normally you'll wait til it's your turn to try to connect (but it might not connect) & if it does connect, you may find you only have a shared amount of time with others in the waiting list. After that you go back to the end of the queu. There is a p2p app that apparently can push others out of the list/further down - but that app (to my knowledge) is no longer developed. Difficulty to connect could be for a no. of reasons. As far as search alternatives, I'm not totally sure what u mean. There is advanced/extended search options. In my experience u can search for things & end up with other types of results. So some files don't necessarily fall into one search criteria/perhaps a no. due to the way they ere named. Hopefully some wise members will be along to give you a better explanation.
