Default Incomplete downloads resume from zero. WHY????

Hi,

First of all, sorry if this is an old question. I have looked and looked through the forum and couldn't find an adequate answer.

When I get a portion of a file downloaded and the sources disappear, LimeWire will try to find it elsewhere. BUT, if it takes longer than about a week to re-connect, it starts over from zero. I've tried saving portions and sticking them back into my incomplete folder, but LW won't budge. How can I get it to continue rather than start over? Am I doing something wrong?

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I believe this is happening because there aren't enough hosts.
try searching for it again but make shure you don't dowload the exact same file. also make shure that there are alot of hosts for the file it should say this under "hosts" when you search their speed is also important and can be found under "speed".

you can also try to keep downloading the file and so no progress is lost go in tools, options, savings and at the bottom there is something saying days to keep incomplete files, there just right how long you'd like it to keep the files. this has a big role since after the file has been there for a week it goes back to zero

Smile Finally! Thank you so much!

I was hoping it would be something this simple. Going to preferences/sharing and setting the days that LW keeps incompletes will probably do it.

Thank you all so much!!!!
