Question I am so confused

I have a very high-bandwidth ethernet connection, but every song I download goes at a rate of 0-1 Kb/s. I thought it might just be the people I'm downloading from, but I tried hundreds of different songs and users and there was the same problem. Can anyone explain why my download speed is so slow? Thank you!

Just so I don't have to write an essay (hehehe) see the following links on optimising your setup & searching: Link no.1 (only the 1st post), and also Link 2: Good techniques and lastly, see searching & downloading maintainance. Hope these suggestions help.

Don't know, possibly. Ethernet refers to LAN network. But then different types of connections may be connected via your ethernet card. And that is the question; what your connection is. T1 is used by large companies. So maybe you do have one. I'm not in the know about these types of things. (The broadband I'll be using in a month's time will be connected via the ether card on my comp.) I'd suggest there will be people on this forum who know. But they might need a few more details. But if you're using 1000Base-T or similar then chances are that you 'might' be T1.
