my songs disappear
 

Hi, yeah, well I've been using limewire for almost a year now and all of a sudden my songs just disappear after completing. I have OS X. I have tried to go through the pref/saving/sharing...paths, etc. I don't get it. It's worked fine for all this time and now they're gone, they aren't in the finder, not anywhere. HELP!

OS X, huh?
Go to the House directory (the one that should be named after you, if the comp is yours) and enter the Shared folder. If they aren't in there, go to the Incomplete folder.

Still gone, can't find my songs anywhere
 

Thanks, I tried that and I honestly am stumped I can't find the songs ANYWHERE and I am starting to really get pissed! Ugh.....can anyone help or has anyone had this problem?

Have you got any Disk Utilities (aside from the ones that are provided by OS X) like Norton or Disk Warrior?
If you do, run some scans to see if your HD has problems.
Next, try setting up a new Saving directory by going to Limewire, Preferences and Saving.
After doing that, click Apply and try dlding something small and popular (so that you get it fast) so that you can check if it goes in the new directory or not.
