Incompletes Won't reload I'm runnning OS 9.2.2 on a G4. Recently I turned on LW & got an error message saying my Incomplete Files couldn't be loaded. So I went to the Library, opened my Incomplete folder, & loaded each file individually. The problem is that I lost all that had been downloaded up to that point. The files started downloading from zero when some of them had been nearly complete. Is there a way to avoid this ? |
It's something that happens from time to time (more-so with OS9 & earlier versions.) There's one painful technique of of getting them back. And that's searching for them individually & selecting them to dwnld (whilst having them in your incomplete folder.) If they don't continue where the should be, delete them from the dwnld pane & choose another choice from the search window. There's still no 100% chance this will always work! But it's much better than force resuming them. A mighty good idea to have your java as update as possible. For OS 9.2.2 that's MRJ 2.2.6 found at: http://docs.info.apple.com/article.html?artnum=120209 |
