downloading from a friend

Does anyone know if it is possible to download from a freind? I have tried entering the IP into serch box but I had no luck maybe there is a way that I havent tried. Thanx, if anyone can help me with this could you email me at,

I think you'd both be better off trying to do it using the LW beta 4.1.5 which has a direct-connect function. To find out more info, do a search for 'direct' or 'direct-connect'. You will find the search button at top right of page inbetween the home & faq buttons.

The way I've done this in the past is to create a unique file with a distinctive name that won't match anything on any other host and place it in my shared folder. Then I get my friend to search for that file. After they get it in the results they can browse me as a host and grab the files I wanted them to have.

If it's just one file you want to share with them, simply name it something unique and tell them what to search for.
