Unhappy error message while trying to burn

Yeah, yeah, I'm new and can't find this problem on FAQ's. Tried to burn songs using Roxio and no playback occurs. Using WMP, I tried to burn the same and an error message stating:OxCOOD11C9,condition ID OxOOOOOOOO came up. Any help please

Either your one/2/3 tunes are corrupt OR in a newer format. Roxio is generally up to date with newer formats. When was the last time you updated your Roxio app? The other possibility is that they're in a format like RealPlayer for example (which is copyrighted) that cannot be played by the average app.

Just for a change, may I recommend you burn them at the slowest possible speed. Be that 1X or 4X or whatever, it will definitely work towards a more reliable burning. People buy super fast burners thinking they should always burn at max speed. But with multimedia, it's much harder work for the burner to simultaneously read & burn. A good example is with VCD's. A friend & myself have burnt VCD's at high/max speeds only to find they were unreadable by our dvd players. But when we reburnt them at the minimum speed possible, they played flawlessly!!!

Keep in mind the quality of media as well. Some cd media sucks bad!!! Cheap it may be, but it's better to buy a reliable media that burns properly & lasts many years than doesn't burn properly or lasts only 6-24 mths before distortion sets in!!!

Just a point on the side, I read a review on cd burners (test results provided) & apparently many cannot burn as fast as they claim (or at least as reliably!)
