The FREE Version Worked Great but when I did the right freakin' thing and bought the software I got a program that, while it performs searches, doesn't freaking display the results! I've tried fixing the databank, reloading the program, downloading the international version, but still no split search/download screen. Its all downloads, no search. What gives? If I uninstall, will I lose my shared folder & downloads, or can I move the entire folder to temp storage, uninstall Limewire, redownload it, reinstall it, and then reintroduce my shared folder to the reinstalled program? |

Sorry to hear you problem. We need many more details in order to help you. What's your OS version, connection type, ram, java version, & details about what happens when you open LW. One answer might be the beta which is supposed to connect more easily & there is also a pro version beta 4.1.7, more details here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...5&pagenumber=1 I'm not a windows user so I'm not sure how the uninstaller works. It might be wise to either move or 'copy' BOTH your shared & incomplete folders elsewhere. If you want to maintain your incomplete files, you must keep these files & the download.dat & .bak files that are within the incomplete folder. Perhaps temporarily rename the incomplete folder. (A) Your shared & LW dwnld folders can be found by going to LW's menu Tools-Options & (1) Saving & (2) Sharing, & these folders names, locations & paths will be listed for you. You can then search your computer for these folders. (B) Also/alternatively, your shared & incomplete folders will also be listed in the LW Library window, so all you need to do is press onto any of the files listed as being within these folders & press the Explore/Browse button & these folders will open up for you. |
