downloading problem, please help.
 

I am new to limewire and have been downloading with no problems until today. Now when I try and download music the status of my download will only say "queued" and it stays that way for hours; however, some of my downloads are completing. Not all mind you, just some, but I can't monitor the status. Anyone know what's up with that??? Thanks.:)

Do a bug report to see what it says about recieved incoming this session.
Do you have any firewalls up?

:) It was a bug problem, thankyou. Now if I can just sort out this little connection problem, I'll be good to go. My firewall is Panda Titanium 2004 but only gives problems intermittently???:confused: Any thoughts on that one? Thanks.

As I said, what did the Bug report say? To be more precise, open LW, go to Tools->Options-->Bug Report. Click for an example. In the window that appears, scroll down to the part where it says: "Recieved incoming this session".
If it says false after that, then your firewall is indeed blocking LW's access to the Gnutella net.

What do you mean exactly by intermittently? (Remember, not everyone is American or english... :p)

Your Panda Titanium 2004 is a Panda Titanium-Sygate Firewall package right? Panda is a very heavy duty AV with some firewall like capability. Actually I've never heard of it before. But it sounds as though you need to configure the Sygate firewall as in the link Murasame gave you (it's at the bottom of that page.) If I'm wrong here, well ... I'll just disappear off into the darkening skies with the wolves howling & bats hovering above & ....

Lord, thankyou very much for your 2 cents as well. I'm not much of a 'puter techie so it confused me a bit but I did manage to figure things out eventually. Sygate wasn't much help, but it was a learning experience to be sure. Can't tell you very much about my Panda.....it came with [Edit] useful cereal box-top application form *wink, wink* I just use it and it works, lol. :)
