why whenever i download a song it always skips a beat or two.

Because you are probably using the LW player. Either download the latest LW beta that has an improved player, or just use your regular player for song playback. To do the latest, you need to find where your downloads are saved, so open Lw, Tools, Options, saving. That's where they are.
