sorry i got one digit wrong on the dsl modem B90-610030-06 |
For the Linksys router you'll need to browse it. I don't seem to be able to find directions for wrt54gs but I'm hoping one of the following models will be identical: 1. Port Forwarding for the Linksys WRT54G OR perhaps 2. Port Forwarding for the Linksys WRT54G v1.1, v2 & CA And you'll also need to Force IP within LW. LW settings instructions for Force IP (& sample image) Tell us how you go. And do another Bug Report & see if it's True/False. (I think your modem should be safe!) |
ok i couldnt set up a static IP the numbers that i took down did not work and after i was done i couldnt connect to the internet, so i had to go back to the way it was before which was settin git automatically. Is there another way around this or what do i need to try and do now. |
anybody??????? |
Did you view the link on that page in Step 1: "Take a look at our Static IP Address guide to setup a static ip address." Click on that link. If it didn't accept it then you're missing something/not doing it properly or not saving yur changes. Give it another go. :) |
bro i did it a few times exactley as it said but after it was done i couldnt connect to the internet so i dont know what is up with the numbers. setting up the static ip is useless to me if i have no internet connection |
I'm not sure about your brand of modem, but with some at least yo need to reboot it after doing the port forwarding. Also, quote: If you find that you can not pull up webpages, the problem is most likely the dns numbers you entered. Give your isp a call, and they will be able to tell you which dns servers to use. This is a question they answer all of the time. They will be able to tell you what you should use right away. |
