On your latter - and possibly more urgent question -

Please check and hopefully confirm that you have a combined 'package' of

Norton Internet Security (or a very similar sort of name) that includes Norton Anti-Virus...

I will be more than happy to help you through the install as well as setup/configuration...

I am sure that there are others out there who will also add their comments...

It ain't rocket science, BUT... There are for sure a few logic chasms on the way... (as opposed to gaps !)

You may in fact have more than one issue to deal with! You use a Linksys router which generally use NAT which is similar to a firewall. Your model must be a new model b/c I can't find exact instructions on forwarding a port on your model. But I suspect you wil need to forward a port to allow LW full access. Your router will limit incoming & perhaps this is related to your problem. I can provide you instructions for forwarding a port on a similar model (WRT54G, or WRT54G v1.1, v2 & CA) if it's necessary.

Please do the following test for me: Bug Report instructions & sample image (click on link) & report back to us whether your result for incoming is True/False?

Another suggestion, update your Java. LW is made thru Java & uses Java for its operation. The newest version was designed with Java 1.4.2 & 1.5 environments. Update your Java here: Java 1.4.x OR the latest Java 1.5 (take the JRE)

FALSE is a bad sign!!! And Linksys modem/routers use a type of firewall. I think you'll need to open a port (ie: forward a port) within your modem to allow LW total access in & out wards. But to help you do this you need to tell me the model no. It'll be on the top or bottom of the modem most likely. Once I have that I can give you instructions on how to open the port for LW on your modem.

Oh! You have both! That makes it more complicated (I think!) Give me both the brand name & model no. of both & I'll check 'em both out!
