Need More Sources!

Hey I don't know if its my location in Estonia.

But it pips me that I can search for an mp3 and find 12 of them in the search but when I try to download, I can click on all 12 of the same song in the search but ALLL say 'need more sources'

So what's the point? If you can locate a heap of files why on earth none of them will download??? and WHY does it say need more sources when you jolly well found a dozen of them???!??!?

any help out there in LW land???

thanks

If you find 12 different files for a search then wow: you're either looking for a rare file or your connection's "health" is not good enough to show you more results.
If you see many results and the 12 pertains to the number under the # column, then it could just be that:
a)the number of stars is low (1 or 2)=unstable sources

b)the hosts get offline at the time you click the dld to begin because you are that unlucky

c)your connection isn't good because you are in Estonia (why would you say that? Does Estonia not have a good international multimedia communication system?)

A question: does this happen with every .mp3 search? If it does then it's a problem.

awaiting sources

Hi murasame

Sorry I didn't write straight...my searches go great ...100s of songs are found but when I click to download them from the search results, I always get NEED MORE SOURCES or AWAITING SOURCES ...ALL the time.....after searching and finding all these songs NONE of them download...then .....after days ....1 will download!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!
is this just the nature of this LW beast?? seems a tad slow or something??

Some hints: try not to force resume files, particularly a large no. of them b/c it'll play havoc with your connection quality & cause your files to be queued for much, much greater periods. Also, a well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints.

Resuming can be very effective. But when they don't connect or you choose too many, that's when it puts pressure on your LW's settling, queuing, speed, connection quality, etc. It sounds as though you didn't read any of the links I left. Not surprising Murasame heh!? Another one with a set up not properly optimised but doesn't care. Short term gains, long term problems!
