slow downloads

hello all ,i am a newbie (sorry) to p2p downloading.i have been reading some of the posts/threads regarding slow downloads and i also dont seem to get much more than 1/3KBS. is this normal.i have scanned my pc with norton/ad-aware-spybot
and nothing unusual to be found. is it the norm to download 1 movie at a time or more? doe,s it make a difference.

we have had limewire for a while and will have up to 30 things downloading at once. we usually get speeds around 20 but just reciently it all slowed down to 0's and 1's and we tried everything to fix the problem. after many frustraiting hours i thought to check my download limit with my internet provider as we just upgraded to broadband on a plan that slows down your connection after 20 gig of downloads. I never thought we'd download that much in one month but sure enough we had. today is a new month and i now have fast downloads again. so for anyone out there as silly as me check your download limit with your internet provider you might have reached it. good luck.

I am having the same problems with my download speeds. At first my speeds were great but now they've slowed down to a crawl and disconnect often. I also keep getting "need more sources". I have DSL with MSN so there aren't any download restrictions that I know of.

I am using LimeWire version 4.2.5. and am running Windows ME, I also have a firewall but it is set to standard and my settin is "true" so their isn't any interference with my connection.

Any suggestions would be appreciated!
