Instead of T1 & T3 sources, try the cable/dsl & modem sources. Yes they might be a little slower but at least you're more likely to get reliable files. Not all T3 sources are bad & not all T1 sources are bad. But if you're searching for the most popular songs & recent movies then they probably will show corrupt ones in your search results.

Default You Need Codecs

If You Play It In Your DivX Player It Will Usually Tell You What Codec You Are Missing. Usually It is The XViD Codec. You Should also get the AC3 Audio Codec as well. The XViD Codec Usually Comes In A Pack With 10 or so more different codecs. You Can Get These In Limewire. This Will solve all your problems.

Excuse me for not quite getting this forum, but I'm new. Anyway, in regards to corrupt files, I have a question. For one particular song, all files are T1 or higher, and all dl's ended up with the corrupt file message. Am I in danger of doing damage to my system if I decide to play the "corrupt" file?

Have you tried using the "GSpot Codec Information Appliance"?

I find it's an essential tool for inspecting files to see what codec is required -- it even tells you if you have that codec installed... works mainly for .AVI files...

I think I got it from here:

Try it?
