This Iz my 1st time using limewire and the list of songs wont show.all i get iz a message sayin:

limewire is currently connectin to the network.your search may not return many results until u are fully connected to the network.





then it starts loading and when its done nothing happens.can someone please help me!!

Depending on how many incomplete files & shared files you have, LW can take a while to load & settle down. So give it at least 10 mins before you do any searching.

Also make sure you have up to date Java b/c the installer only asks for version 1.3 but runs much better with a later version: http://www.limewire.com/english/cont...radejava.shtml

I hope you configured your firewalls to allow both LW & Java full access: http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Here's some other hints: A well set-up LW can start to automatically continue its dwnlding after it's settled down perhaps 2 out of 3 times you open LW. Optimising LW & Maximising Uplds & Dwnlds A (1st post only) & also Part B which is even better & last & least are search & dwnld hints. The latter one I've been thinking about re-writing for some time. That's just for playing it safe. eg- I show all speeds & qualities.
