Hello everyone. I'm encountering a somewhat wierd problem when i download via limewire. I've updated with the latest version but i still get the error. BTW i have clean installed and have deleted the previous version files, even the hidden folder in X:\Document and Settings\

The problem is when i download something, say a mp3 or whatever, limewire will download it, and file verification will kick in. The verification process will verify and the at a random point, limewire will continue the file download. Then when the download completes a second time, limewire will verify the file again but this time the download will continue say a few percent ahead of before.

Its starting to get really irritating, especially when i download large files, limewire seems to be going wrong somewhere in verifying the file. I'm pretty sure this isnt connection related or firewall related, as the file downloads allright, it just goes pear shaped verifying. Help is very much appreciated. Thanx

When LimeWire detects a file is corrupted, it will redownload the parts of the file that are corrupted. Current LimeWire versions detect this at the end of the download, and thus you can see, "Downloading -> Verifying -> Downloading -> Verifying", etc... up to 6 times, at which point if it's still corrupted, LimeWire will tell you so and ask you what you want to do. We're improving this for future versions so that as the download progresses, invalid chunks will be redownloaded (so you don't see the awkward redownload at the end) and to stop downloading from hosts who gave you the invalid data.
