Unhappy Type of internet connection

Hi,
I am new to the internet and limewire.
My connection is LAN. But I am still downloading quite slow. Does LAN mean T1 or T3 or DSL/cable. It's all very confusing. Please help me!
Thanks

A LAN is simply a network. It could use any type of internet connection, even a dial up. You should ask where you are.

OR Go here: http://www.adslguide.org.uk/tools/speedtest.asp OR/& here: http://www.t1shopper.com/tools/speedtest/ to test your connection speed. The last link allows you to choose a particular country nearest you for doing the test.

See http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...034#post114034 to get an idea of the official speeds of T1 & T3, etc for LW.
