ok i right clicked the start buttin now i see the limewire folder is this the one i should delete last ? i prommise it right under my name

# Go to start -> Control Panel
# Open Network Connections.
# Right Click on the connection you use to connect to the network
# Choose Properties
# Go to the Advanced Tab:

There's your option to turn the Win firewall on or off.

I have it off and use Zonealarm

better yet do you just know how i can turn my firewall off through windows xp

ok i did everthing you said i'm using aol and when i clicked on properties it brings up aol diler settings it has no Advanced Tab that sucks for me

Lord of the Rings i took your advise on deleteing the folder it's working better for now if you find out how to shut this d___ fire wall of for windows xp perfessional useing aol as a service provider please let me know thanks terry
