Default 100% upload failure

using limewire pro 4.2.6

yes i have the port on my router forwarded (and i have changed that number also to make sure its not the issue). i have also tested it to make sure it is correctly forwarded and functioning properly.

force ip, check

not one single time has some one tried to upload from me and it work. it immediatly goes to transfer interrupted before it even connects.

After LW's been open for at least 30 mins or more do this test: Bug Report instructions & sample image Is it True/False?

What devices are you using? You configured your firewalls? http://www.limewire.com/english/content/firewalls.shtml

Which Operating Sytem are you using?

Sometimes isp providers if even just partially block p2p use. This is a recent example.

the only firewall i have is the router, and the port im using with limewire is forwarded (im also using a no default port to ensure my isp is not blocking it)

i also ran this test http://www.freeridesouth.com/craig/socketdrv.html

and it verified that the port im using with limewire is correctly opened.

i also use azureus (torrents), kazaa lite, winmx, etc, and have 0 problems sharing with these programs

and i am using windows xp sp1 (no firewall on the connection, or sp2 firewall. im 150% a firewall is not the culprit here)

i will try the test you said and report back.

That's got me. Your incoming report being true is good. But! Why that's happening? You haven't had any issues with your other p2p apps for uploading! That's odd! May I ask who your isp is?

If you have the time, you should be calling Cox. Explaining that your problem is on their end, and has to do with Gnutella traffic. Ask them if they are using traffic filter like Sandvine. If the person at Cox isn't aware or doesn't understand ask the person to talk with its superior or someone in the know. If the problem is on their end, they should be able to exclude you from their Gnutella filter. The key there is to be persuasive AND patient.

Bonne chance

the problem is though, this issue only exists with limewire. ive used countless other p2p programs with out upload issues. (including recently, shareaza, and in the past, bearshare... both on the gnutella network)

I've seen several complaints about Cox Communications in Arkansas blocking P2P. I've checked my Bug Report and can confirm that the problem appears to be with Cox. Can something be done about this?
as you can see from the bug report, every thing checks out and i am recieving incoming connections.

In a link within the link (particularly the google results) you'll see at least one of those articles mentions that it doesn't seem to apply to all p2p apps. And it apparently doesn't seem to affect everybody within a particular area. So ... I could only guess they've determined you're using LW the most & have applied the breaks on uploading from LW. Follow et voilà's advice.
