I download a full movie and cant play and it also defaults to windows and says to get web help. So I download a codec and another but still cant view movie.

It may be because the extension is .wmv and some windows players cant read that without a licence, so they have to download one, and if it still doesnt play or it isnt playing wat u wanted, its either corrupt, or someone just called it what u searched for, but it was actually something else. If u want to open it with a different player then windows media player, go to the directory u specified when u first downloaded the software for where downloaded items go. Right click on the icon and Open With, u should have some options of other players. If u want to change it so it always plays in that player right click on it and go to properties. Then click Change next to where it says what it opens the program with. And if it still doesnt work u may not have an updated version of the player software...Well thats all i can think of for now...

You could try DivX player or VLC (plays everything except the odd wmv file) http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose nearest mirror site.) It's not the prettiest player but it does the job & is free.
