Unable to watch movies Hello Everyone. I have been using Limewire now for about 3 months. I recently upgraded to the Limewire Pro. I am using Windows XP on a Gateway Computer. I have Windows Media Player 9 on my computer. After I download a movie the movie does not play. I have tried several different extension movies. I tried a movie with the *mpg extension and a movie with the *wmv extension. Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?? I can listen to songs through Windows Media. Any help would greatly be appreciated. Amanda |

My easiest answer to watching movies is to turn the TV on lol You need codecs my boy (or girl): http://www.divx-digest.com/software/nimo_pack.html Codecs are miniature programs that encode or decode media from one format to another. As a back up player you might wanna get DivX player &/or VLC (which has inbuilt codecs, & free & plays all except the odd wmv file) http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ (choose the nearest mirror site.) Happy watching |
