Default bad file name

I just recently downloaded the new version of limewire. It seems that most if not all of my downloads can not be played because of a bad file name. I did not have this problem with the old version.

I am not the most computer literate person. I don't understand why this is now happening. I even downloaded files that I know worked under the old version, but will not work.

Any help would be appreciated.

I am the only one with this problem? If anyone has any suggestions, please respond.

Did you use the english installer or the international (multilingual) installer. These are different in the respect the latter forces LW to use an earlier version of Java which is not really sufficient in many cases.

Delete your LW Preferences folder. In fact, why not follow these hints (your java may be an older version): Fixes for Limewire

If they don't work, try the beta 4.3.3 which overcomes some bugs within LW 4.2 : http://www.limewire.com/english/content/beta.shtml
