Downloading

How can i tell which movies are full length? When i have downloaded a movie can i download it to a dvd?

What are codecs??

A full movie is normally around 700 Mb or more. Not sure about saving to a dvd, but I don't think so. LW requires the saved folder and incomplete folder to be in the same location. There are are programs out there that will let you copy the file after it is downloaded. You could do a search for them. As for codecs you can do a search here (upper right) for codecs. You will find some threads with links to some sites that have them or a player which has them built in.

Does anyone out there know which Avi program to use to get the quicktime video to work on most of the downloads. Most of the time the avi files i download don't work....quicktime always responds back by saying it's missing thye write software.

Does ne1 know what the following message "Waiting For Busy Hosts" means, I 'm trying to download a song and keep getting that message?

fabion February 2nd, 2005 12:41 PM

Waiting For Busy Hosts. This mean that the host is busy with other request. A lot of users may be trying to download the file.

As soon as a host becomes free it will connect and start to d/l. This could take anywhere from a minute to several hours depending on the size of the file.

In LimeWire next to quality you will see #. The higher the # there the better chance of getting a quick d/l. If I remember correctly that # represents how many people are sharing that file.
