Verifying file freezes limewire Hello. A file Ive downloaded is at download complete stage when I start limewire. It immediatly begins to verify file contents. When it reaches 99% the program freezes and I have to end program. Ive tried to stop and delete the file as soon as the program starts but I get a message that the file is being used by another program. Please Help Me. |
Go to Tools>Options>Uploads>Basic & untick the option for Partial File Sharing & press the Apply button. Then you should be able to delete the file. Normally a file will attempt to verify for a maximum of 6 times before giving up but if it's crashing LW then ... delete it. You might need to quit LW for this it to allow you. If you wish to continue partial file sharing afterwards then go back & change it back. |
I wasn't thinking clearly. All you should need to do is delete the file manually whilst LW is closed! Make a note of the file's name & size & then go to the incomplete folder & send it to the recycle bin! ;) |
Thanks Worked perfectly thank you |
