Unhappy Hello! I Need Help Uploading My Files

Gnutella Forums:

I really enjoy using Limeware, however, I'm having difficulty in uploading my special files. They are Corel Presentation Slideshow exe files that promote some home-made computer games we are designing. They are completly safe, I made them. However, everytime I try to launch the files, I get: "Limeware will not launch the specified file for security reasons"

Can someone give me some advice as how to solve this problem?

Thank You!

BEFORE any of you more morose other Mods out there automatically delete this thread... Consider what is being asked, huh ?

The most simple answer, off the enormous top of my head, is to use both WinZip and WinRAR to 'archive' your files so that you will have a better chance of NOT having said files "filtered-out" by various applications from E-Mail front-ends to basic p2p ops...

And, do NOT make them Self-Extracting as these will also result in .exe files

Normally .exe files are big bad boo-boo to ever share or download !!!

OK ?

Lightbulb SPECIAL ANNOUNCEMENT: My Progress So Far...

I compressed the Slideshow Presentation into a ZIP file.

So, maybe that will help.

Additionally I would like everyone who is interested to please search for and download Knight's Quest 1, Game Preview.exe ZIP or Game Preview.exe ZIP or Free Preview.exe ZIP

It is an a Slideshow Preview of our latest project: Knight's Quest 1. It's a FREE online Illustrated Text Adventure Game.

Thank You.

Likewise I read as is .. lol

I've never seen nor created a corel slideshow. And yes I'd agree exe files are not a good idea on their own. Zipped or whatever is much wiser. By default, LW gives warnings about downlding exe files & many users would take heed of such warning.

So what do you need to play these presentations? They sound like independent self-executing files. Such as a Director projector but a lot simpler.

Talking So Glad You Asked!

It is a self-activating file, so there is no need to use a different program with it.

Just download it and enjoy it!
