We don't know which version of LW you're using or system or anything. Please see here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/announ...?s=&forumid=29

Looks as though you've learnt the hard way about not using the Force Resume function in the library. This is one of its bad habits that can happen.

Nothing can be done about that file now. Once you've forced resumed it, it sometimes has the side effect of starting it from 0%. It's a pain!

If you use that function it's best to 1st do a search so you can find the correct sources for it. The file will be in your incomplete folder, so search the file topic then resume it from the library.

The search result may show whether or not you're still downlding it. You could select it from the search result to downld & it should continue. I'd prefer to try that than F.Resume.

I wonder if it was really missing from your downld list. Sometimes a file might appear as though it's not there but you just skipped over it.

Well I have Lw 4.4.5 pro and I am having this problem too along with other probs. I am resuming from my library but coming up as 0kb after downloading sometimes over half the file previously.

My downloads are also taking way too long and sometimes I can leave it a day and still have no success. too much at 0kb/s.

Modem speed 115200?
LT win modem
CPU 1000 mhz
Java 1.5.0_01

Please can you tell me where I am going wrong and if there is any way I can speed up my downloads. Without giving me the link to the post that tells you to change my bandwidth etc.. Done and tried and no use. Getting rather fed up. Please help. I am on dial up so expect to be slow but if I don't get anywhere I might aswell just give up until I am on broadband.

Is it meant to take a month for one episode to download?????

A very annoyed Limewire customer.

huh???

if you are trying to download large video files through a modem connection, that requires a great deal of patience and understanding! Your modem is probably only capable of downloading ~ 5 KB/s (5x8=40; so 40,000 bits per second + overhead = 56K modem)

and what does "customer" have to do with it? LW doesn't provide the content--just the best way computers can connect to form the gnutella network.

56K Modems work quite well for sharing smaller pictures, and maybe short audio files, but video can be tough even for most broadband connections.
