downloads.bak damaged I had to close down LW the bad way, because my PC was hanging. Though, next time I started LW up, all my downloads were simply gone. Windows was also giving a popup screen about a damaged downloads.bak file, and that I had to repair it. Well, I did with scandisk and it found no damaging at all. I can restart those downloads of course, but only at 0! Also, I still have the old incomplete files and the old downloads.bak/dat. I tried to replace those with the new ones.. Also didn't work! Anyone know how to get me my 60% downloads back like I had before? |
Hmmm not sure but check out this link. It explains what the .bak and .dat file are. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...highlight=.bak |
nope sorry, didn't help my situation :( |
Well looks like your out of luck then, because the .dat and .bak files contain the info. and once deleted they start over again. When your system crashed the hardway you probably lost that data. |
See my hints here: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=33898 Search the topic file 1st before Force Resuming. Make sure the original source file is in the search results. In fact, I'd suggest to try to just reselect the downld from the search results 1st to see if it continues from the original % point. I'd start with that way 1st before trying the others. But the bak & dat files do contain all info so if they're damaged... |
