Getting ridiculous LW Pro, 4.6.0; Java 1.5.0_01; Windows XP w/service pack2 installed; LW worked fine for years. Now it rarely works at all. I may show 150 sources for a file, but I repeatedly get a "need more sources" message. I have tried with Windows Firewall both on and off, and I have tries various tweaks from this forum (adjusting download bandwidth, setting sockets to 3, deleting the .limewire folderand re-setting options, uninstalling with both Control program uninstall and manual unintstall, re-downloaded both Pro and the newest free upgrades, etc.) but still won't work. Any more suggestions? Is there another P2P out there that may work? Thanks. LVRV |
Are people able to upload from you? If not then it's either a firewall or p2p/LW's being targeted by your isp. Is there anything that's changed about your computer or net set-up that may have caused this. You may need to think carefully about this. eg: Updated to SP2 |
Nothing has changed that I know of. For instance, I just now opened the program, and it immediately downloaded 3 files that were in the que. the it just would not download any more! I tried to download a file (mp3) that showed 119 sources, and I got the old 'need more sources" message. I'm about to go nuts trying to figure this one out! LVRV |
