Always "Waiting For Busy Host"

It seems that whatever I'm trying to download, and from any number of places, the Host is always busy. Either that or I'm "Waiting in Line, Position X", although I never move up the queue, just normally then am told that I'm "Waiting For Busy Host".

Is this simply down to network congestion?

I agree too. My files seem to be doing that too. except it'll try to connect, as if to download, then return to waiting for busy hosts

Does anyone have any answer to this? I'm getting too...

Yeah any help for this? I've tried deleting the .limewire folder in document and settings. All I get is Connecting/Need More Sources/Waiting for Busy Hosts. Really irritating.

I got got too hacked off with it.

Now trying out eDonkey. Not really used that too much, but it seems ot be a bit 'smoother' than Limewire.

Jeez nobody in this thread has been thru the forum & find out about how to overcome these issues or how to utilise LW effectively. I often mention links that can overcome these types of issues if you'e receiving too many of them. Receiving at least some such statuses is a fact of life with p2p. If everybody had unlimited bandwidth & set to unlimited upld slots then this would never occur. I'd like to see anybody achieve the potential high no. of simultaneous downlds with edonkey as is possible with LW. edonkey is has certain limitations by design ... updld capacity is one of those. I'm not knocking it but just making a point.

I'm getting this too, but only since I upgraded to the latest version 4.6.0 for OSX a few days ago. I hardly ever had this but now I can't wander off and leave things to download, I have to sit here hitting "Try to reattempt a Download" on every download every 30 - 60 seconds or so. It manages to reconnect every time so there's obviously no REAL busy hosts involved.

Really annoying.

I've pretty much given up on all of this.

To be honest, eDonkey throws up another set of obstacles. It always has me down as 'unreachable'. I've followed all their information on port forwarding etc., but I'm still 'unreachable' and shite download speeds - and I've just upgraded to a 4Mb line!

A previous poster in here mentioned some links that he'd previously posted. Could we have them?

Limewire seems to SOMETIMES be OK for a file up to about 5 MB, but anyting more and you may as well forget it.

Or can somebody prove me wrong here?

If you don't mind the indirect links which lead to other links see HERE (click on link.) Sometimes it can be wise to delete your LW Prefs folder if things suddenly go astray.
