![]() hi all......well i am new to this.....i downloaded **** 880.4 mb avi. so i was reading while i was downloading it(o had a \lot of time on my hands)..that i need to get divx player..so i downloaded it..and it also said that i could now run it in windows medi player 9.....so i finshed the download(movie) and it said"Windows Media Player cannot play the file. The file is either corrupt or the Player does not support the format you are trying to play."so i downloaded another one(movie) and i got the same message..so now i am on my thrid movie..and it is at 13% done and i go to preview and it tells me "Windows Media Player encountered an unknown error."...anyone have some ideas what to do!!! remember i am new at this......thanks so much Forum rules: http://www.gnutellaforums.com/announ...?s=&forumid=29 Last edited by Lord of the Rings; March 1st, 2005 at 05:44 AM. |

![]() Well it sounds like you might need some codecs. try here http://www.land.ee/d_nimo_codec.html or here http://www.click-now.net/html/K-LiteCodecPack.htm You also might think about an alternate video player. This one is free http://www.videolan.org/vlc/ It is always good to have an alternate player just in case. |
