File not recognized
 

Morning.

I am on a HP. AOL. XP. Limewire 4.8

I downloaded a song, got this message...Error Limewire cannot play the file/doc and setting/mydoc/limewire/mp3. This file is not recognized.

Have got other songs with no prob other than taking very long.

Any ideas what I should do, I take it I should just delete it but anything you can tell me about doing something to not let this happen again. Many thanks.

Do you have a back up player? If you have VLC it will also play many mp3 types. You could try QCD (it's free): http://www.quinnware.com/

Well I better go look up what all those letters stand for. I'm not so bright with this stuff. I don't have a back up player though. I will download what you sent. Thanks, I appreciate your time.

VLC is a free video player that plays all video types & also many audio types. QCD is similar in the respect it also has built-in codecs & is free but is an audio player only.
