The problem is only that one audio file isn't it? If so then I'd suggest it's probably corrupt. Like those others mentioned earlier that come from 'some'T3 sources. How long does it run for? If it runs for 20 or 30 mins then you can try an mp3 fixer mentioned earlier or just dump it.

I was almost going to suggest to you to downld another playback plugin. But QCD will play many, many formats incl. video.

Default 80 Bitrate files will not produce sound

I have just started using LimeWire.

I have downloaded 3 or 4 different files with an "80 bitrate". None of them will produce sound. I have tried three different players: Windows Media, MusicMatch and Creative. All three show that the file is playing - but no sound is produced.

Does anyone have any suggestions for correcting this situation. Thanks

Did you see & read the above links? Very important points! There's mp3 repair tools just in case.

Default 80 Bitrates

I did look at the links. There is no mention of of consistent problems with "80 bitrate" files. Every 80 bitrate file I have downloaded will not produce a sound. I would think there would be some type of setting to correct this condition.
