how do i upload

Create a folder & put files into it you wish to share. Then go to LW's menu Tools>Options>Sharing & press Add, then direct LW to where this folder is. Once found, select it & press Apply button. Another way is to go to LW's Library window, then menu File>Add folder to share. You can see if people have seen or uploaded any of your files from your shared folders under the far right columns.

when i went to tools the only thing there is statistics

You must be using Mac OSX then! lol OK I hope ou know where your LW preferences are! On the toolbar to the far left, you'll see Limewire listed. Click on it & a drop down window will appear with options. One is Preferences (2nd option.) Select Prefs then Sharing.
