Angry downloading slow

I have winxp pro sp2 with dsl and my dl speeds are terrible. I went in and added gnutella to my firewall exceptions and it still does not help. I use limewire pro 4.8.1. I went into my bugs report and my received incoming this session is false. I'm new at this forum stuff and can't type very fast so please have patience with me. Can anyone help. Thanks.

It would help if we a little more information:

Modem type and model no.

Router type and model no.

Which Firewalls are using.

Something is blocking your port from access.

All I know is I have sprint DSL 645 series, don't even know where to find router info and I think I have norton firewall. I also am running AMD Sempron 2200+ and 512 mb ram if that helps.

Did you properly configure your Norton Firewall. Instructions here. http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=30505

Also it is not a good idea to run your windows firewall and norton firewall at the same time.

I just looked up your modem here. http://www.sprintproductsgroup.com/p...odemRouter.pdf

You may have to do port forwading. You can search(upper right)
for -- Port Forwarding --

Best of luck
