Im totally new in this downloading business! So I was wondering if Im doing something wrong. Trying to download a movie, but the speed is only 1-3kb/s. Can that be right?

Ko, so now thats done. still slow. can it have anything to do with other people not uploading from my files? I think Im freeloading, and I dont know how I can give people access to my downloads.

you can add folders to LimeWire to share by doing this.
tools>options>sharing ----- click add --- this will open a window that will allow you to locate the folder and add it by clicking select then click apply then okay.

You can do this for each folder you would like to share.
